Total Victory International Ministries (TVIM) was established when Apostle John Davis, Sr., the Senior Pastor, released the church, then named Harvest Faith International Ministries to his son, Pastor John A. Davis, Jr. in August 2004. At that time, Pastor John was serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Assistant Pastor under his father. Apostle Davis was obedient to the direction and leading of the Holy Spirit to step down as Senior Pastor and move fully into the apostolic calling upon his life.

 

In September 2004, Total Victory International Ministries was birthed. The Lord spoke to Pastor John that he was called to teach people to walk in victory in every area of their lives. Shortly thereafter, he assumed the role of Senior Pastor. The Lord revealed to Pastor John that it was time for him to dig his own well just as Isaac had done—possessing the territory that God had given him.  

 

Pastor John moved forward along with his wife Eboni Davis, and their two children, Alex and Jordyn, and sought God to find out exactly what territory he had given him. God revealed to them that Riverdale, Georgia would be their territory. The existing church building in Morrow, Georgia was put up for sale, and they set out to find a place of their own. The church building sold before a new location was found, so in May of 2005, Pastor John began holding services in the Holiday Inn in Forest Park, Georgia. Their stay at the hotel lasted for only ten months.

 

Although space was limited within the hotel, the services were administered in Total Victory style. An adult worship service, nursery and children’s church were all maintained during the stay in the hotel. Pastor John refused to allow the natural circumstances to deter what God had called them to do. During their time in the hotel, they continuously waited for God to open a door in Riverdale. They had faith that He would.

 

In February of 2006, a door was opened in Riverdale, Georgia, just as God had promised. Through much prayer and steadfast faith, Pastor John was given great favor with the property owner. Immediately, Pastor John began construction on the building and rallied the entire church to pitch in and offer their services. With the help of all the members and favor with the builder, they were able to transform the new location for occupancy within three weeks. On March 5, 2006, Pastor John and the entire Total Victory family were hosting their first service at the new location, 1280 Highway 138 SW, Riverdale, Georgia.
